| 20th & 21st | Barbara Meiklejohn-Free: Shamanic Crystal Healing
Healing crystals and ancient stones have been honoured and used by medicine people, healers and shamans since the beginning of time. Some shamanic cultures believed that the shaman held a special crystal within his or her body and this inner wisdom was used to help and assist with journeying to the Spirit World for help with healing & divination.
In the first part of this workshop we will look at how we use our crystal helpers to journey and connect to the spirit of the Stone People. To build up a relationship with our healing crystal we will also look at how we can travel to the dream time and explore the different ways of distant healing. We will look at cleansing and smudging of our sacred crystals and stones. In the second part of this workshop we will look at soul retrieval and extractions using our shamanic crystals, in addition we will take a journey with our crystals to search for our inner visions and make a connection with our Spirit Guides and Helpers.
I have been working in the field of shamanic healing for over thirty years, learning the Celtic/Druid healing ways, and combining it with the teachings of the Native American medicine people. I also work along side allopathic doctors and psychologists to bridge the gap between the conventional and complementary medicines though the world of shamanic healing. A comprehensive weekend training with an experienced teacher and practitioner, providing you with all the information and skills you need for certification as a Reiki Practitioner. We will deepen our understanding of the subtle effects of Reiki on all leveles of wellbeing, and learn new techniques for working with the energy, including distant healing, healing symbols and chants, and practitioner guidelines, along with any other topics relevant to the needs of the group.
Group size will be a maximum of 8 people, to allow for plenty of individual attention, and will include the Reiki Share on 28th April to allow the opportunity to work with a wider range of experiences of working with others.
Ongoing support and development is available at monthly Reiki Share sessions.
Students must carry out 12 hours of case studies for certification.

| Fri 3rd - Sun 5th | Indian Head Massage Training
Training in the traditional Ayurvedic practice of Indian head massage. Traditionally passed down from mother to daughter and used frequently as an aid to long health and happiness. The training I recieved in India was the base for the more focussed training in the UK with the Ayurvedic Institute in London. I have been teaching this skill back since 2004 and enjoying seeing those who learn benefit from the unique benefits of this practice. Although concentrated to shoulders, arms,neck and scalp….the benefits treat the body as a whole. Great for headaches, anxiety, depression, sleep, high blood pressure and reducing stress levels as a whole. The training takes two and a half days ….followed by the practitioner following 3 case studies and an open book assignment. The practical assessment is given on the last day of the training. Yoga with Siobhan is a recognised teaching college with CMA and the course is fully certified and accredited to CPD training by the CMA (Complimentary Medical Association).
The course is in depth with lots of practical hands on work and a full training certificate issued on completion of case studies. We will learn: *History of Indian Head Massage * The Chakras and their relevance to the treatment * Contra-indications to massage * The oils and their uses * Full routine for IHM dry and with the use of oil, including back, neck, shoulders, arms, scalp and face. * Aftercare for the hair and wellbeing , homecare and contra-actions to treatment. * A guide to case studies. We will begin by moving and opening our bodies through a breath-centred gentle Yoga practice. Our focus will be on the energy of the New Moon - letting go of restrictions and opening to love and understanding. We will end the day outside with a Shakti Fire. Through the Shakti fire we connect to the earth and balance our energies.
