Kinesiology is a holistic therapy combining muscle testing with the Principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, energy balancing and working with the inter-relationship between physical, nutritional, psychological, emotional and spiritual systems to identify and relieve stress that may be affecting an individual. It was developed in the 1960's by Dr George Goodheart. For a person to enjoy completely good health we must treat the person as a whole. Stressors or factors affecting the physical body will also have an effect on the mind and the emotions. Conversely, stressors affecting the mind and emotions will have an effect on the physical body. Medical research has linked emotional and psychological stress with diseases such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, stomach ulcers, and heart disease, while someone with a chronic painful condition such as arthritis may also experience emotional and psychological problems. Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify suitable correction procedures to enable the body's energies to flow smoothly again. Corrections may include gentle massage of acupuncture points, specific body movements, crystals, colours and essences and perhaps suggested changes in lifestyle and nutrition. Kinesiology is safe to use with all ages of people from the very young to the very elderly, and with all levels of fitness. A Kinesiologist does not diagnose or prescribe for a disease or condition but Kinesiology allows the body to identify what is needed to restore energy balance and flow bringing about increased well-being and improvement in health A session usually last from one to one and a half hours. The Kinesiologist will explain the procedures of muscle testing then test the appropriate muscles in different positions. It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing. Three in One Concepts Kinesiology Three in One Concepts Kinesiology has been developed by Gordon Stokes and Daniel Whiteside. It is a system that helps us realise our full potential by releasing stress and fear that may be causing a block to the body's energy flow, using unique methods to identify stressful events from the past that may be responsible for some of the problems experienced in the present such as fears and phobias or physical dis-ease such as migraines. Special defusion techniques are used to release the stress and help individuals realise their full potential. Conditions that may be helped include:- dyslexia, depression, phobias, addictions, allergies, childbirth, chronic fatigue (ME) muscular pain , lack of confidence and self esteem plus many other conditions. It can also be used to improve sports performance. From £50 per session |
