Maarten Elout

Maarten was born and raised in Holland in a family and an environment that supported and encouraged his search for the divine. Never content with merely understanding the concept of the oneness of all life he spent most of his youth and all of his adult life studying various spiritual paths that cultivate the experience of it. He studied and practiced different alternative therapy forms, energetic practices like Taichi and Qigong, Japanese, Tantric Buddhism, Shamanism, firewalking and sweat lodge ceremonies, and was blessed with many opportunities to absorb the essence and teachings of great spiritual teachers, shamans and medicine people.

Since 1999 Maarten has been professionally sharing the ceremonies, essence, insights and methods that form the core of his own continuing spiritual journey.

Through the birth of the Spirit lodge Ceremony; a native European sweat lodge ceremony that developed from his own research and experience, he’s now returning to his own roots and has dedicated himself to passing on the teachings that he intents to assist western people in reconnecting to their own spiritual heritage and help them to return into a state of harmony with all of creation.
